And while styling is our signature, we also specialise in luxury balayage, designed to enhance natural depth and dimension, with specialised expertise in dark bases and Asian hair. Our colour work is intentional, dimensional, and low-maintenance - designed to grow out seamlessly and wear beautifully between appointments.

For Aleah, hair has always been personal.
Aleah Hair was founded by Aleah Espanta, an Australian journalist-turned-colourist who relocated from Melbourne to Dublin in 2024.
Aleah holds a Bachelor of Arts from Monash University and a postgraduate qualification in Journalism from RMIT University. After years working in the media industry, she followed her creative instinct into hair, training at Melbourne’s renowned BIBA Academy and honing her craft in leading salons across Australia and Ireland.
Her experience spans backstage at Fashion Week, weddings, events, editorial work, and the ownership of her own Melbourne salon.
For Aleah, hair has always been personal. Growing up with Filipino roots on her mother’s side and naturally dark hair, she spent her teenage years experimenting with colour - especially blonde - which quickly became an obsession. Even during her career in media, hair remained central to her identity. The salon was her sanctuary: a place to slow down, feel cared for, and connect. In hindsight, hair was always there - it wasn’t until media burnout that she recognised what had been calling her all along.
Aleah still vividly remembers washing her first client’s hair as an apprentice - a man visibly stressed who released a deep breath the moment he sat at the basin. The relief, gratitude, and smile he shared stayed with her. It was in that simple moment she understood the true power of hair: how even the smallest service can shift someone’s mood and change their day.
Whether it’s a perfectly executed blow dry, an elevated style, or lived-in colour, every service reflects Aleah’s belief that hair is more than aesthetic. It’s confidence, energy, and expression - and a powerful part of how we feel and how we show up in the world.

Important Colour Information
Colour appointments typically take 3–4 hours. Aleah Hair specialises in dark natural bases, including Asian hair, which often require advanced lifting and precise toning to achieve optimal results while maintaining hair health.
Prices are based on hair length and average thickness. Extra-long, very thick hair or corrective colour may incur additional charges, discussed during consultation.
For hair health and colour longevity, we recommend adding a K18 Molecular Repair Treatment (€30) to all lightening and balayage services.
